Ageplay
Definitions:
IC: In Character (Virtual mode -the character being played)
OOC: Out of Character (Real Life mode -the player behind
the character)
RL: Real Life (Life outside the domain of the MUCK)
This policy is discussed in the Acceptable Use Policy, but
is expanded here in order to clarify what is meant by ageplay
and the limitations and allowances this policy affords.
By
connecting to Le Jardin Mystique, you agree you will not
represent yourself as under the legal age. This can sometimes
be confusing, but what it means is even during a scene or
RP session, your character may not be under the age of 18.
You can appear to be younger, or can costume in whatever
style of clothing or apparel you feel fit to wear, but you
must always represent yourself as over the age of 18. For
example, you may put in your character description, "appears
to be 16 years old" or "looks 16 years of age,"
but you may not put in, "is 16 years of age" or
"a 16 year old."
The
distinction here is that you can appear to be a certain
age, but are not that age. Likewise, shape shifting into
an infant form is not against this policy so long as it
appears you are and infant and in fact do not represent
yourself as being an infant in age.
Failure
to abide by this policy has serious ramifications as infractions
of this policy can lead to legal trouble for the MUCK administrators
and the players who break this policy. Thus, the following
schedule of punishments applies:
- First
offense: Verbal warning from
a wiz and @newpasswording the character for not more than
30 days
- Second
offense: @toading of the character
Furthermore,
if law enforcement officials seek our cooperation, they
are likely to receive it.
